Levy and Declaration of Income.
MAKE ONE JOB OF THEM When payment of the unemployment levy is being made during ihe coming month it will be a simpl* matter to complete a declaration of income for 3lat March. 1932. Probably in most cases a tax on income other than salary or wages will not be payable; but in order to get the business over and done with it is most desirable ihat a declaration he made If a tax is payable it should be paid at the same time. The essential thing is to make one job of these duti.s of citizenship They are both part of one trans .c----tion. and to make two operations of: them cause personal inconvenience t and unnecessary trouble.
Both levy and tax fall due on Ist May, and the form for declaration of income is obtainable at all money order offices.
Ah important point to remember is that it is optional whether the declaration of income is made at a Post Office or to the Income Tax Commissioner: but if a return of income has been made to the latter official it is essential that a declare' tion that this has been done shall be made at the Post Offices. It is not necessary to make two declarations of income.
