To avoid delay und ens ire early delivery, the public are advised to post ail Christman correspondence, etc, as eariy as possible. Commencing from the 17th inst. Xmas (rree'ing telegrams may Li sent; price 6d for 12 words, excess of 12 ljd per word. The Post and Telegraph Office will be closed in all branches on Xmas Day. Boxing Day and New Year's Day. i A counter delivery of correspondence will be made between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Thursday, ?4>h (Christmas Eve) and on Tbursda , 31st December (New Year’s Eve). Mails for Greymoutb, Christchurch, Wellington Bnd Nelson, closing at 7 am. will be despatched on Boxing Lay, (December 26th). Mails for Greymouth, Nelson and Wellington closing at 7 a.m. will be despatched on New Year’s Day (January lat). Springe Junction Mail Contract Mails for Springs Junction for 1932 will close on Fridsys at 10 a.m. instead of Saturdays st 9 p.m. as previously. T. L. FLOYD. Postmaster.
