A fearful pre-Christmas tragedy over took a small community ten miles from Muskegon, Michigan. . Orville Oman, aged seven, received! a present of a hand sleigh and took It l on an ice covered lake for a try out. | Suddenly a crash came and the horrified parents saw him disappear. Father, mother and brother tried to lescue successively and were drowned. Then three young men, brothers named Morgan, rushed to the rescue, f&king a boat with them, hut this overturned and all were drowned. Morgan’s dog raced frantically home and made much fuss and attracted help. The seven bodies were recovered.
