Japanese Movement Aimed at Chinese Bandits Reed 8 30 a.tn, Shanghai, Dec 21 The Japanese movement in Eastern Manchuria is aimed principally at the Chinese bandits and irregular soldiers, who are leaderless since the defeat of General Manchusan in the Nonni River battle. Two Japanese regiments were concentrating at Chincbow to drive the Chinese, who are resisting stubbornly. Japanese bombing planes at dawn to<day attacked the Chinese positions at Changtu, Tienkiatung and Fakumen, Inflicting heavy casualties.
General Minami, a former Japanese War Minister, arrived in Manchuria and intends to remain a fortnight to make a personal investigation, because he believes the responsibility of the present situation to be his, since be issued the orignal orders for the Japanese occupation of Manchuria.
