PERSONAL NOTES.

Miss Mary Duggan returned from the Sumner Deaf School by Saturday evening’s express. Mr H. Walsleben and Misses M. A. and D. Wills, left for Stoke, Nelson, on Saturday, where they will in future reside.

Miss Hutton, of tba Reefton D. H. School staff, left on Saturday morning for her home in the South, and will spend the term holidays with her relatives. Among those who have returned to Reefton to spend their term holidays Misses H. O’Brien and S. Flannigan. Mr and Mrs Don also returned from Nelson to tbe latter’s parents, Mr and Mrs V. Albora. Miss Gwen West, daughter of Mr and Mrs A. B. West of the' National Bank, Blenheim, formerly of Reefton. successfully passed the A.T.C L, degree examination of tbe Trlni yi College of Music recently held in Blen helm. Miss West was for some time a pupil of tbe Reefton Convent School.

The death took place at Wellington on Saturday ef Miss Ssreh (Saidie) Murray, daughter of Mrs and tbe late Mr P. Murray of Hiaau. The deceased, who was 38 years of age and a native of Hinau, and a general favourite with all who knew her, had been in bad health for some three or four years past, and for a time, was a patient In the Reefton Hospital. In addition to her mother, she leaves a married sister at Blackball, and a brother at Hinau, who will receive the the sincere sympathy of a wide circle of friends. The interment will take place at Reefton on Wednesday afternoon. leaving the Church of the Sacred Heart at 2 p.m. for the Suborban Cemetery..
