SCHNEIDER CUP Rugby, August 21 It is understood that in the event of Italian and French teams not, after all, competing for tbe Schneider Trophy in the race on September 12th, the British team will fly round the course at the highest speed attainable in the new machines, which are expected considerably to exceed last year’s figures. However, although the intentions of the Italians and the French are still unknown, strong hopes are held at Galshot that both countries will be represented. It is anticipated that an initial decision cannot be delayed much longer, and that it .will prMubly be reached at the week-end. “

The funeral of Lieut Brinton took place to-day- Tbe inquest opened yesterday, and was adjourned after formal evidence, pending the report of a special enquiry into the cause of the accident.
