VALEDICTORY

The members of the Reefton Golf Club met on the links yesterday afternoon to bid farewell to Mr S. C. Robinson, on his departure from the district. A delightful afternoon tea was served by the ladies of the Club. Mr Campbell, Club Captain, then -xpressed the regret of the members of the CU'b in having to part with such a prominent player as Mr Robinson, who was the present Club Champion, and during his stay in Reefton had made many friends and taken a very keen interest in the Reefton Golf Club. He asked Mr

Robinson to accept a fountain pen as a small token of the siocere wishes of the members for future success and good health, and hoped that the small present would remind him of the happy golfing days in Reefton and of the many friends here who would always wish him well. Mr Instone endorsed the remarks already made, and said that it was great gratification to the Club to knew that Mr Robinson had obtained hts well earned promotion.

Mr Robinson suitably responded, saying that he would always carry with him pleasant memories of his stay in Reefton, and hoped to have the opportunity of visiting his friends here very often in the future.
