Including those idle in the iron industry some 200,000 persons are out of work. The local authorities concerned ace asking the Board ufTi ads fco interview and settle the difficulty. Reports from Seirra Leone elate that the head of the Rev William John Humphrey, M. A., was found impaled on a stick. He has evidently been murdered. Rev Mr Humphrey was for some lime ourate at St Peters, Tnnbridgo Well', England, and he .olnatecring for missionary service, wag appointed principal of Fonra Bay College, Freetown, Seirra Loono in 1890.
