During the past half year 207 tons of stone we're crushed, which gave a yield of 1330z5. of gold, or an average of something like 13dwts, per ton. Owing partly to the-, large amount of dead . work which had to be done in [the crushing, the : result was.not.lso. ..as. could be .hoped, b,ut I tlie company having now concluded : arrangements with the Just-in-Time : for the joint use of the .latter company's main shaft, the mine can now be worked much more economically, so that we may hope to see be'ttersuc- ! cess attend the future operations. Stone yielding 13d wts.. per ton ought jto be good property.
