PUBLIC MEETING.
T. M. WILFORD, T. M. Wilford, addressd the the Upper Hutfc electors .at the town hall on Thursday, when an attendance of 350 to 400 bona fide residents of the neighbourhood was recorded. P. Robertson, Town Board Chairman, presided. The candidate received an enthusiastic- reception and a sympathetic hearing. At the conclusion, a vote of confidence was proposed' by A. W. Kitaon, seconded by H. W. Shaw and carried amid cheers: A strong committee was set including R. C. Dick, W. Goss, J. Keys, S. Kirker (secretary), G. Mansill, G. McGhie, F. D. Payne, H. Pearson, P.Robertson (chairman), H. W. Shaw. D. Tidswell, W. Wakelin,G. Wyeth and a number of ladies.
