WOMEN’S DIVISION
MEETING AT TIROHIA
DONATION OF £25 MADE
The monthly meeting of the Tirohia Women’s Division of Federated Farmers was held at the home of Mr and Mrs J. Lauder, at Tirohia. Mrs J. Silcock, president, (presided over a good attendance of members. The meeting opened witji the division song and the creed and Mirs Silcock then welcomed Mrs W. Batger as a new mertiber.
Thanks were,extended to members and friends who so willingly helped by contributing towards the recent garden party held at the home of Mr and Mrs W. Noble.
It 'Was decided by all present to donate £25- towards the Tirohia hall fund and £2/2/- to the Paeroa ambulance fund. Arrangements for a combined school and division picnic at Komata instead of the Usual Christmas tree at .school were made. Mrs Silcock then thanked Mrs Lauder for the use of her home and afternoon tea was served.
The winners of the blooms competitions were: —
Special, Mrs F. Johansen, 1; Mrs B. Gillard, 2; Mrs J. Lauder, 3. Best bloom, Mrs B. Gillard, 1; Mrs H. C. Jackson, 2; Mrs F. Johansen, 3.
