MANAIA MAORI SCHOOL GOOP ENTRIES AT AHIMIA The first annual flower show ( was held in the school on Wednesday, December 6, A large number of entries was received, far beyond expectations, which reflected the parents and children’s -keen interests. Outstanding exhibits were in the > sweet -pea section and home grown flowers, some choice blooms being exhibited. In the vegetable section were shown vegetables all grown at school ... by the pupils themselves. There was a phoice assortment of early vegetables, the envy of any adult gardr.cr. . It was interesting to note the csre with which the entries were exhibited to best advantage by the children themselves, to make an attractive display. Sydney Leef won the champion sweet pea bloom with his entry Master Cream. > . The fallowing were the prize winners:— Flowers Best collection of sweet peas, Sydney Leef, 1; Philip Collier, 2.
