BOYS WARNED
STOLE FROM SHOP TILL —L s CASE IN CHILDREN’S COURT A warning that if they repeated their offence they would be sent to Borstal at Invercargill, was given to two young boys, one aged 11 and the other 12, when they appeared before Mr W. H. Freeman, S.M., in the Te To Aroha Children’s Court when the father of the two boys was charged with having the custody of the two delinquent children. Sergeant A. Doel for the Police stated thaft on October 24 >he received a complaint that a butcher s shop had been entered and some money had been removed from the till. Witness had later caught the boys reentering the shop. Unfortunately this type of offence had been going on for some time before the boys were caught. Both were equally to blame-. It was difficult for the parents if the boys did nbt behave themselves, said Mr Freeman. He impressed this point on to the boys and admitted them to 12 months’ supervision under the Child Welfare Officer.
