FIGURES FOR PAEROA OCTOBER UNDER REVIEW There were I'7 births registered in Paeroa during the month of October just closed according to the information supplied to the Gazette by the registrar of ’births, deaths and marriages at Paeroa, Mr C. W. Williams, postmaster. Since the beginning of this year to the end of October the total number of births registered in Paeroa was 191, nine more than the number for the same period of last year. Three deaths were registered in Paeroa fdr the month of October as against two for October of 1949. For the first 10 months of this year 18 deaths have been recorded as against 24 for the corresponding period of last year. The registrar performed one marriage in Paeroa during the month under review as against none for Octiber, 1949. He has performed a total of four marriages this year as compared with five for the same period of last year. Four marriage licenses were issued for the month of October by the registrar in Paeroa as compared with five for the previous October, bringing the total number of marriage licenses issued this year to 34, which figure is well ahead of the 26 issued by the registrar- for the corresponding period of last year.
