HOCKEY BALL
A CAPACITY HALL ENJOYABLE KEREPEHI AFFAIR Bright and tuneful music by the Rhythm Troubadours soon had everyone in a gay mood on Monday night at the Kerepehi Hockey Club’s annual ball. ■ Dancers from the Plains and Paeroa were present filling the hall to capacity.
A particularly appetising Isupp'er was served by the girls after which dancing continued with a swing until the early hours. The duties of M.C, were ably carried out by Mr T. Babich, while the two Monte Carlos were won by Miss E. Patterson and partner and Miss B. Turner and partner. During the evening a competition was won by Miss Kathleen Jordan. Those present included:— Mesdames Wentworth, Trow, Barriball, Lines, Hegh, Paton, Milne; Misses E'. Jordan, E. Patterson, T. Wentworth, J. Candy, Z. Courtney, A. Fisher, L. Poland, B. Fisher, M. Shaw, M. Benny, D. Wentworth, Shona Benny, M. Johnson, ,B. Jepsen, W. Gordon, L. Cook, V. Miller, B. Millar, P. Donaldson, M. Waite, M. Ryde, P. Jordan, L. Patterson, M. Fawcett, K. Jordan, E. Yelavich, M. Nicholson and B. Turner.
