MERCURY BAY FISHING ANNUAL MEETING HELD * NEW OFFICERS ELECTED The annual meeting of the Mercury Bay Game Fishing Club was held recently at Whitianga. The president, Mr N. R. Dale, reported that the season had been a very successful one and that the membership had increased from 87, three years ago to 340' for this season. The following officers were elected: Patron, Commander W. V. Thew, R.N.; president, Mr C. M. K. Peachey; vice-presidents, Capt. Carey, Messrs H. A. Arnold, H. Rees, H. Madill, E. Mizzen, G .E. Cox, S. Harding, W. Lowe, F. Scale, M. Tisdale, D. Mill, R. H. Bryce, T. Lowe, J. P. Gamble, J. Lethbridge, A. G. Ott, E. Chadban, J. H. Smith, Robt. Ross, L. R. Dale,' Dr. Macareth; committee, Messrs A. Caney, W. Clark, G. Edwards, R. A. R. Smith, W. Oxley, C. L. Smith, A. C. Bendall, V. McMillan, G. Edwards, A. Bowman; secretary, Mr J. Crawford; treasurer, Mr T. Hailey; publicity agent, Mr J. Crawford. Mr L. R. Dale* was elected a life member and an honorary vicepresident.
