CAR AND A COW
ACCIDENT AT HIKUTAIA
ANIMAL HAS TO BE DESTROYED
At Hikutaia on Friday evening at about 7.15 a car driven by Mr Claude Handley, of Paeroa, was involved in a collision with a cow belonging to MrNorman Harper, of Hikutaia. The cow was being driven by a small boy but got out of control and ran across the road in front of the approaching car. The cow received a broken leg and had to be destroyed. Only light damage was done to the headlight, mudguard and door of the car.
