WAITAKARURU WINS FIRST MATCH OF SEASON KEREPEHI SUFFERS DEFEAT The Kerepehi Tennis Club played its first match of the’ season on Saturday last when its A team met at Kerepehi and suffered defeat at the hands of the Waitakaruru A team by the comfortable margin of 14 games to one.

Grant 9 defeated C. Collins 4; G. McGattin 9 defeated T. Fisher 2; P. Harris 2 lost to L. Clarke 9. Men’s doubles: Hegh and Paton 9 defeated Burton and Samuels 1; Paton and Harris 9 defeated Connor and Collins 2; Grant and McGaffin 9 defeated Fisher and Clark 7.

Playing at Netherton recently the Turua Tennis Club’s B team defeated Netherton Bby 13 games to two.
