HIKUTAIA MEMORIAL
(COUNCIL APPROVES SCHEME APPLICATION FOR SUBSIDY An application for a subsidy of £2OO for a war memorial to be erected upon the Alley memorial park at Hikutaia was forwarded to the September meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council for its formal approval. The council resolved to approve the scheme provisionally, it feeing pointed out that in order to secure a subsidy the land and memorial would have to be vested in the county council
