MEETING OF THE UNION ARRANGEMENTS FOR GAMES A meeting of the management committee of the Hauraki Plains Rugby Union was held recently in Ngatea and the following were present:— Mr H. Kennedy (president), Messrs J. Carr (Ngatea), T. Perry, C. Maxwell (Miranda), M. Anderson, W. Costello (Patetonga), T. Roberts L. Blackler (Waitakaruru), C.. K. Fox (Turua), T. Jordan (Kerepehi), L. Sherlock (treasurer), R. A. Harris (secretary), ,S. Fisher (captain, senior team) and L. E. Smith (referee). The referee’s ruling relative to the ordering off of B. Solomon was fully discussed after which a resolution was carried that his ruling be accepted and the player, Solomon, be stood down for the rest of the season. The secretary was instructed to advise the Katikati club that the Waitakaruru club was prepared to play for the Duff cup on October 7. The meeting resolved that a third grade game be arranged between the Mt. Roskill third grade team' and' the Kerepehi third grade team for September 23. Arrangements were confirmed for the curtain-raiser to the Peace cup match on .September 23 between the Thames third grade team and the Hauraki Plains third grade team.
