ASSISTANCE REFUSED REPLY OF MINES DEPARTMENT No financial assistance could be given for the purpose of opening up access to Tiki hill saddle, stated a letter from the Department of Mines it© the September meeting of the, iCtxnoiiftandel County Council The letter explained that the return of gold from the area did ■ not warrant the expenditure of 'Government funds.
