WILD PIG MENACE
KUAOTUNU STATE FOREST
DEPARTMENT TO INVESTIGATE
The complaint made by the Coromandel County Council as to the increase of wild ipigis in the State f orest at Kuaotunu is to be investigated by the Ctpiservator of Forests, New Zealand Forest Service.
At the August meeting of the county council advice was received that the district forest ranger was to make a report, which would deal with 'the allegation of the increase and the damage done to roads and adjoining properties. iCr S. H. Le Roy-Dyson expressed satisfaction 'that the department was taking action and informed members of the council that wild ipigs were invading his /home paddocks close to his residence. He asked to be advised as to the date of the fanger’s visit.
