LADIES’ GOLF
MRS NICHOLLS WINS AT WAIHI CANADIAN FOURSOME DRAW Lady members of the Paeroa Golf •Club last week-end played the annual captain’s versus secretary’s match, the games being in the form of fourball best-ball match plays and the result was a close win for the secretary’s side by four matches to three.
A number of Paeroa ladies attended the ladies’ open day held at Waihi during the week-end and although the tournament was a pronounced success from every angle, the only Paeroa visitor to win a trophy was Mrs V. T. Nicholls, who worked hard to bring home the off day prize. A Canadian foursome will be played next Saturday and the draw is:— Mrs Thorp, Mrs Pearse, Mrs Handley, Mrs McKenzie; Miss Gough, Mrs Bain, Mrs H. Morrison, Miss Stewart; Mrs Jensen, Mrs Ward, Mrs J. Kidd, Mrs Jones; Mrs Thompson, Miss Silcock, Mrs Masters, Mirs Royal; Mrs Williams, Mrs Crimmins, Mrs Leigh, Miss Gibb; Mrs F. Kidd, Mrs Burke, Mrs Boulton, Mrs Laird; Mrs Fromm, Mrs Nicholls, Mrs E. P. Fathers, Mirs Murdock; Mrs Nicol', Mirs Walker, Mrs M. Shaw, Mrs W. Fathers; Mrs Jennings, Mrs Finlay, Mrs P. Morrison, Mjrs Morgan; Mrs L. J. Shaw, Mrs Aitken, Mrs Nield and Miss Gernhoefer.
