Public Notice — > — COROMANDEL COUNTY COUNCIL OF JNTENTION TO STRIKE RATES Public Notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the Coromandel County Council at a meeting to be held on Wednesday, September 13, 1950, at the Council Chambers, Kapanga Road, Coromandel, in pursuance of and in exercise of its powers under the provisions of . the Counties’ Act, 1920, the Rating Act, 1925, the Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926, the Fire Services Act, 1949, and of all other Acts or Amendmients thereto enabling, to make and levy the following * — In ’ the Colville, Kuaotunu, Whangapoua and Whenuakite Ridings, on the Capital Rateable value of all rateable property as appearing on the Valuation Rolls for the time being in force the following Rates: — 1. A General Rate of 3 pence in the £. 2. A Hospital Rate of one halfpenny in the £. 3. A Special Rate (Conversion Loan of £6500) of one eighth of a penny in the £. In the Coromandel Riding, on the Capital Value of all rateable property as appearing on the Valuation Rolls for the time being in force the following Rates: 1. A General Rate of three pence in the £. 2. A Hospital Rate of one hali,penny in the £. 3 A Special Rate (Conversion Loan of £6500) of one eighth of a penny in the & A Special Fire Services Rate ot decimal four of a penny in the £ op the value of the buildings only in the Secondary Urban Fire District of Coromandel. In the Whitianga Riding, on the Capital Value of all rateable property as appearing on the Valuation Roll for the time being in force the following Rates. 1. A General Rate of 2|d in the 2. A Hospital Rate of one halfpenny in the £• 3. A Special Rate (Conversion Loan of £6500) of one eighth of a penny in the £. The aforesaid rates to be due and payable in one sum on the 14th September, 1950, to the Council’s Collector at the County Office, Kapanga Road, Coromandel. ■ „ The aforesaid rates to be tor the year commenced on 1/4/1950 and ending 31/3/1951. The Valuation Rolls and Rate Book will open for inspection by the Ratepayers at the County Office, Coromandel, during Office hoursIn accordance with the provisions of Section 64 of the Rating Act, 1925, a rebate of £4 per centum will be allowed to every ratepayer on the amount of the General Rate payable by him struck for year 1950/51 if such rate is paid within 30 days of the J. CLASSIFICATION OF ROADS IN COROMANDEL COUNTY PURSUANT to regulations 3 (5) of the Heavy Motorvehicle Regulations 1950, the Minister of Transport doth hereby alter the Coromandel County Council’s proposed classification of the roads described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the Coromandel County and doth hereby approve such altered classification as described in the said Schedule. Coroglen-Waihi via Whangamata Main Highway No. 586.
