STAFF FAREWELL MISS G. GIBB HONOURED 1 Now on her way to England where she intends to make her hpme for at least the next two years, Miss Gretchen Gibb of Hikutaia left New Zealand a short time - ago by the Trans-Tasman flying boat for Sydney, where she .spent a most enjoyable week before sailing on the “Largs Bay” for the rest of the journey which will be via the Suez canal.

Miss Gibb, who is a well-known and popular district nurse, was stationed for mpny years in the Paeroa and Coromandel peninsula districts. On the eve of her departure from New Zealand the Health Department entertained Miss Gibb at a large and delightful afternoon. The staffs of the various departments were present as well as her brother and sister, Mi G. Gibb and Miss Grace Gibb of Hikutaia.

Dr Thomson spoke very highly of the work done by Miss Gibb while attached to the department and asked her to accept a substancial cheque which represented several extra months salary and a beautiful crystal bowl.

During her stay overseas Miss Gibb wil Itour the British Isles and the Continent.
