DENIZE CUP
FINAL MATCH PLAYED
WON BY COROMANDEL TEAM
* The final Rugby match for the Denize cup was played between Coromandel and Kennedy Bay teams on the Coromandel domain on Saturday last.
The game was hard and fast, being played on a very wet ground and with a very slippery ball. Tries for Coromandel were scored by Noble, E. Gamble and Ron Pepper For Kennedy Bay A. McDonald and Mareroa each scored a try.
At the end of the game the score was six all and extra time had to be played during which Coromandel scored *&, third try. No tries were converted, the final points being Coromandel nine, Kennedy Bay six. Mr V. Rout was referee.
