MATCH AT THE BAY A SUBURBS WIN 16 TO 9 VISITORS DELIGHT CROWD A good crowd of Rugby enthusiasts attended Lyon Centennisll Park at Whitianga, on Saturday, to,see Suburbs (Auckland) third grade defeat Mercury Bay representatives by 16 points to pine. ' 1 Before the teams took the field# the Suburbs team, and their coach, Mr L Paterson, gave - an interesting demonstration of the South' African scrum. This demonstration - proved how quickly the ball comes out of the serum and' how rapidly the forward® can break. Although there was no score at half-time, the'Suburbs victory was inevitable and was very well received. The game was fast and exciting arid' much to the spectators , delight, Suburbs concentrated on ' .the open play.
