NGATEA HIGHWAY
QUESTION DISCUSSED REPORT TO PLAINS COUNCIL The question of the future route z of the State highway through Ngatea and the site of the bridge across the Piako river was reported upon by the County clerk, Mr L. E. Smith, to the May meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council.
“The original committee appointed, the chairman Mr C. W. Parfitt, Crs C. W. Schultz and H. Hayward, met Mr Harris of the Ministry of Works, Hamilton, and Mr Bosselman of the Ministry of Works, Paeroa, at Ngatea in connection with the State highway through Ngatea and the Piako river bridge.
