PIPIROA BRIDGE
WORK TO PROCEED MINISTER GIVES ASSURANCE The Pipiroa bridge is to be pushed ahead by the Minister of Works, the Hon. W. S. Goosman, according to an assurance he has given Mr A. S. Sutherland, M.P. Mr Goosman has also promised to visit Thames as soon as possible. This advice was contained in a letter from Mr Sutherland received at the April meeting of the Thames Borough Council, The town clerk, Mr F. C. Tuck, also advised the council that at the end of last month Mr Sutherland met the works committee and told it that the Ministry of Works was now working on plans for the Pipiroa bridge, its siting and approaches.
