PAEROA RIFLE CLUB
HOTTEST CONDITIONS YET TROPHY TO F. JOHANSEN Probably the hottest conditions experienced this seaaon attended the weekly shoot of the Paeroa Defence Rifle Club at Komata last Saturday. There wag not sufficient wind to worry riflemen but a heavy mirage was especially difficult to couffiat during the morning shoot. Two shoots were conducted from a range of 900 yards and Rifleman F. Jchahsen was the wiriner of the weekly trophy by an easy margin. Details of scores are as follows:— F. Johansen score 89, handicap 9, total 98; J. Johansen 83, 9, 92; D. Astwood 70, 20, 90; P. Swetman 77, 12, 89; V. Andersen 74, 15, 89; G. Shaw 76, 13, 89; B. Gwilliam 81, 7, 88; P. Young 71, 16, 87; R. Drinkwater 67, 20, 87; R. Wilson 77, 8, 85; R. Swetman 68, 14, 82; A. Cocks 44, 20, 64; R. Payne 44, 20, 64.
