COUNTY COMPRESSOR HARD TO REPLACE PROBLEM FOR COUNCIL * I was hopeful that we would be able to get the compressor to work but it is completely worn out,” said the engineer, Mr L. E. Shaw, at the July meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council, held recently in Paeroa. Mr Shaw gave members of the council an idea of the difficulties in procuring another compressoi and, thought the only chance at the present time was to try and secure one from the War Assets Realisation Board. The chairman, Mr T. A. Barrett, pointed out that it was imperative for the council to secure a compressor at once and he proposed that the county clerk write to the War Assets Realisation Board immediately enquirirtg if it had any compressors available and failing the board having a suitable compressor then a new compressor be ordered. Following the passing of the resolution a further resolution was carried that the chairman, Mr Barrett, Cr. A. F. Thorp, the engineer and the clerk, Mr A. A. Jenkinson, be a special committee to deal with the matter of securing a compressor.
