MIXED WEATHER
MARCH IN WHITIANGA RAIN FELL ON 17 DAYS March in Whitianga was a month of mixed weather, with days of muggy heat, fine summer days, short alternate periods of wet and fine and a touch of winter, including a sharp front on March 28. Rain fell on 17 days, with a total rainfall of 6.29 inches, with the wettest day March 8, when 2.49 inches was recorded. The year's rainfall, to date, is 16.45 inches. Prevailing winds for the month were north to east. Dew fell on eleven days.
