PROBLEM AT ABATTOIR REPORT TO THE COUNCIL “ Due to bad branding marks great difficulty is, at times, being experienced in identifying animals brought to the abattoirs for slaughter,” stated! a report from Mr J. Dauphin, manager of the municipal abattoirs, to the April meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council. • It was pointed out that instructions had been given that, in accordance with the provisions of the by-laws, in future, animals which were improperly marked or doubly marked would net to be accepted for slaughter and that interested persons had been noti-< fied accordingly.
