NATIONAL PARTY
MEETING AT WHAKATIWAI OFFICERS FOR YEAR ELECTED The annual meeting of the Miranda-Mangatangi-Kaiaua branch of the National Party was held in the Whakatiwai hall on April 5, when the chairman, Mr R. Cochrane, presided over a very good attendance of members. A warm welcome was extended to Mr A. S. Sutherland, M.P., and Mrs Sutherland and to the party organiser, Mr R. Leith-Milne. Mr Sutherland addressed the meeting and Mr Leith-Milne congratulated the branch members on their enthusiasm. The following officers were elected: Chairman, Mr R. Cochrane; deputychairman, Mr Whittleson; secretary, Mr A. Chipman; committee, Mr B. Brigham, Mr P. K. Pulham, Mrs Eddos, Mr K. Findlay, Mr G. Coxhead, Mr A. Holder; Mr Henson, Miss Chipman; delegates to conference, chairman, Mr R. Cochrane, Mr Whittleson, A. Chipman, Mrs Eddos, Mr A. Holder and Mr G. Coxhead.
