PLAINS SCHOOLS’ SPORTS RUNNING AND JUMPING Five records were broken at the seventeenth annual meeting of the Hauraki Plains Primary Schools’ Sports Association, held ( at Ngatea last Friday. Details, with the old records shown in parentheses, are:— Boys Nine years, 50 yards: R. Eccles, Turua, 7 sec. (7 l-ssec.). 880 yards, open: G. Tito, Ngatea, 3min. 4 2-ssec. (3n»in. 9sec.). High jump, under 12 years: M. Jeffries, Ngatea, 4ft. 3fin. (4ft. lin.). Girls Ten years, 50 yards: J. Moseley, Kopuarahi, 7sec. (7 l-ssec.). Skipping, 75 yards, under 12 years: L. Hayward, Ngatea, 10 3-ssec. (10 4-ssec.).
