SOME VALLEY BAKERS » PRICE TRIBUNAL DEFIED 1 - / The decision, to increase the price of bread, sold over the counter, as from March 1, from 6d to <Hd, made by the Thames Valley Master Bakers' Association, in aspite of warnings, from the Price •Control Division, Wellington, not to take this step, was put into operation in Paeroa and Waihi on Tuesday. • When a Gazette representative telephoned bakers in Te Aroha, Thames, Turua and Ngatea he was advised that the price of bread •sold over the counter had not been increased. No decision had been reached at Katikati at the time of going to press.
