WEDDING BELLS

MASON—MACLENNAN LOVELY JULIET STYLE GOWN A very pretty wedding was solemnised recently at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Hamilton, when Isabel Anne, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Maclennan of Te Pahu, and formerly of Hauraki Plains, was married to Guy Reuben, son of Mr and Mrs A. J. Mason, Devonport. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked very charming in Cream slipper satin, cut Juliet fashion with a tight-fitting bodice and full sleeves gathered to a deep cuff and trimmed with tiny satin buttons. The panelled skirt formed a train while her headdress, a wreath of white cactus dahlias, held her beautiful veil in place. She carried a lovely bouquet of cream cactus dahlias and tiger lilies.

Her sister Phyllis was her sole bridesmaid, wearing pretty pale blue organdie over taffeta. She wore a spray of flowers to tone and in her hair was a coronet of tiger lilies and dahlias. •

Mr W. Maclennan, brother of the bride, acted as best man.

The reception was held at the Winter Gardens where the guests were received by Mrs Maclennan, who wore a black silk suit and a large rose-trimmed picture hat and shoulder spray to tone. Mrs Mason wore a royal blue suit and a blue satintrimmed felt hat and shoulder spray to tone. The bride travelled in a beige suit with brown accessories.*
