DAY AT WAIOMU

CHILDREN’S PICNIC SUNDAY SCHOOL FUNCTION RESULTS OF RACES RUN A picnic at Waiomu was enjoyed by pupils of the Turua and Kopuarahi Presbyterian Sunday Schools recently. A loud speaker was used by Mr Hart to keep everyone informed as to the programme which commenced with a swim, under the supervision of Mr Hart and parents.

Tickets for free ice cream were issued and luncheon was spread upon cloths under a shady tree by a band of willing helpers. Grace was said and the food' then enjoyed, especially by the younger fry. Sandwiches and soft drinks were provided from the Sundey school funds while the many different cakes were supplied by the

parents. Children’s races proved very popular and caused much fun and excitement.
