WORK ON STOPBANK
WINCHES NOT LEFT IN ORDER FLOODGATES NEED ATTENTION Reference to winches which had been removed from floodgates when the stopbank was being constructed around the foreshore of the Hauraki United Drainage Board’s area was made by the foreman, Mr W. Johnson, to the February meeting of the board. It was decided to write to the Works Department asking that the walls of the floodgate be raised, the wings filled and the winches reset and put in working order.
