Something in a Name
Three youths were .beset by misfortune when they bought an art union ticket. Their car overturned in loose shingle at Warrington, Otago, and a holiday trip to Queenstown had to be cancelled. They returned to Waikuku beach, where one injured his hand and one had £7 stolen from his wallet. Their tent collapsed one night. One of them invested £2 10s in shilling lotteries. He won a carton of beer, and all six bottles were stolen within half an hour. They had signed the dirt union ticket “ Passport to Hell.”
