KEREPEHI BALL

JUNIOR NATIONAL CLUB MR SUTHERLAND, M.P., ATTENDS There was a large attendance at the ball held in the Kerepehi hall on Monday, June 7, and organised by the Kerepehi Junior National Club. Mr A. S. Sutherland, M.P-, and Mrs Sutherland were guests of honour and Mr N. Bailey, president of the Kerepehi Junior National Party, extended a hearty welcome to the guests, after which Miss F. Strong presented Mrs Sutherland with a beautiful bouquet. Mr R. Burton, president of the Kere- 1 pehi Senior National Party, welcomed the guests, stating how much their presence was appreciated. He stressed how Mr and Mrs Sutherland had always attended as many functions as possible. In reply, Mr Sutherland thanked the tw’o presidents for their hearty welcome and on behalf of Mrs Sutherland thanked Miss Strong for the beautiful bouquet. In conclusion he congratulated the Kerepehi Junior National Club on their splendid efforts in organising such a successful ball. Music was supplied by the Rhythm Troubadours and Miss N. Hayes supplied the extras. The Monte Carlo dances were won by Miss F. Strong and partner, Miss B. Sole and Mr ® Burling.
