The meeting opened with the creed. The president and secretary were appointed as the division’s representatives to attend a meeting in June to assist in formulating a plan for the pi eposed war memorial. A splendid report of the Thames Valley provincial meeting was read by the secretary, Mrs R. McNeil, who was accorded a vote of thanks by acclamation.

It was decided to hold a paddy’s market on July 30 in aid of expenses for delegates to the Dominion conference in Dunedin. A vote of thanks was passed to Mrs Bouskill for the hospitality she extended to Mrs Elliot, Dominion president, on her recent visit to Coromandel.

The travelling shilling competition was won by Mrs E. Lucas. The hall presented a very busy scene during the meeting, everyone sewing patches for the patchwork quilt for the provincial competition in August. Many members had met at 11 a.m. and had been hard at work getting the patches ready. A verynice afternoon tea was served, after which the meeting closed with the singing of the national anthem.
