LADIES - TEAMS COMPETE I TAURANGA DEFEATED MATCH ON THE DOMAIN The Paeroa ladies’ hockey representatives defeated Tauranga by four goals to three in a match played at the Paeroa domain on Saturday. Paeroa had the better of the game against Tauranga in the first half, several goals being narrowly missed. The score at half-time was three to one in Paeroa’s favour.

After the interval Tauranga rallied and kept Paeroa on the defence for a considerable part of the spell. Scorers for Paeroa were D. Handley 3, V. Rakena 1; for Tauranga, S. Hudson 1, B. Green 2. The referees were Messrs Moore and A. Davies, DRAWN GAME PAEROA PLAY KEREPEHI The hockey match played between Paeroa and Kerepehi B teams last tveek-end resulted in a draw of three ill. For Paeroa the scorers were V. Rakena and J. Morgan and for Kere?ehi B. Fisher, B. Hayes and L. The referees were Messrs H. Candy ind A. Davies. MEN’S HOCKEY TAURANGA DEFEATED 4 TO 1 The match between Paeroa and Tauanga men’s hockey teams, played on he Paeroa domain last Saturday, reulted in a win for the home team by our goals to one. Tauranga had the advantage of the game and they were very unlucky not to score more than the one goal which was netted by D. Lemnox. For Paeroa L. Bogue scored 2, R. Kemp 1 and T. Tibbotts 1. Referees were Messrs Moore and A, Davies.
