YOUTH INJURED

ACCIDENT AT HIKUTAIA COLLISION IN TOWNSHIP As a result of an accident at Hikutaia on Monday morning a young Hikutaia resident, Roy Arnold Follas, aged 19 years, a son of Mr and Mrs A. F. Follas, formerly of Maratoto Valley, is an inmate of the Thames hospital. The injuries were suffered as a result of a collision which occurred in the Hikutaia township between a school bus driven by Mr F. B. Burkhardt and a cycle ridden by Follas. Head injuries were suffered by Follas and after being attended by a Paeroa doctor he was admitted to the Thames hospital.

CAR AND TRUCK COLLIDE ACCIDENT AT PAEROA A collision occurred early on Saturday evening on the Old Te Aroha road, Paeroa, opposite Mr G. Hutchinson’s garage, between a car driven by Mr Percy Williams of Paeroa and a truck owned by Mr G. Buchanan and driven by Mr July Taylor, also of Paeroa.
