; PAEROA-TAHUNA ROAD > Public notice is hereby given ; that at a meeting of the Piako ; County Council, held in the > Council Chambers, Kenrick > Street, Te Aroha, on the 20th * April, 1948, the undermentioned ' resolution was passed:— In pursuance of the powers conferred upon it by the provisions of Clause (g) Section 121 of the Public Works Act, 1928, and Clause (3) of Regulation 7 of “ The Heavy Motor Vehicles Regulations 1940,” and upon the grounds stated the Piako County Council prohibits the use of any Heavy Motor Vehicle upon that portion of the PaeroaTahuna Road commencing at a point fifty chains north-east of the junction of Ngutumanga Road and continuing in a northeasterly direction to a point on the Paeroa-Tahuna Road where the Awaiti-Tirohia Road meets this road, but not excluding traffic from using the said ’ Awaiti-Tirohia Road, when the weight of such vehicle with the load exceeds 2 tons. This prohibition shall commence to operate on the Ist day of May, 1948, and shall continue to operate until the 30th day of September, 1948. The said prohibition is imposed upon the grounds that the surface of the said road would be seriously damaged if permitted, for the period specified, to bear the traffic of the heavy motor vehicles the use of which is herein-before prohibited.
