SCROLLS OF HONOUR

YOUNG FARMERS CLUBS QUESTION OF ELIGIBILITY Recommendations as to the eligibility for Young Farmers Club scrolls of honour were sought by the provincial council in a circular letter received by the quarterly meeting of the Hauraki Young Farmers Clubs district committee held at Kerepehi recently. The meeting decided to recommend that those eligible for inclusion on the scrolls should be members of clubs who had served overseas between September 1939 and August 1945, from clubs which were in operation at the beginning of the war. Mr E. G. Townshend stated that the only club in the district that was in operation before the war was the Netherton club, which was then known as the Hauraki Club. Because of that it would be the only club that would be eligible to have members’ name* n:i a scroll of honour.
