HEENAN’S BRIDGE
URGENT REPAIRS WANTED council authorises work At’the November meeting of the Coromandel County Council Cr. F. H. Purdom asked if the repairs to Heenan’s bridge could be carried out immediately. He asked that a report be prepared about the quarry at Whangapoua with a view to having the work done before March in order to uplift the subsidy and he asked the council to give the matter urgent attention.
The chairman concurred with Cr. Purdom’s remarks. A resolution was carried that the necessary timber to carry out repairs to Heenan’s bridge be procured immediately. The work was to be done as soon as the material was available.
