ACCESS SOUGHT

PROPERTY ON THE PLAINS POSITION TO BE INVESTIGATED — A request that the Hopai West road he improved to give access to a property which he was purchasing from the late Mr S. Birkenhead, was made hy Mr G. R. Birkenhead in a letter to the November meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council. It was pointed out that the road would have to be fenced by the council before anything could be done. The road at present was merely a surveyed road and nothing had been done to it.

The chairman, Mr C. W. Parfitt, said he would like to find out the legal position regarding the fencing of the road. The clerk, Mr E. A. Mahoney, was instructed to investigate the position and report to the next meeting of the council.
