POWER CONSUMERS
CONNECTIONS TOTAL 14,101 VALLEY BOARD’S SUPPLY “The total number of consumers connected to the Thames Valley Electric Power Board’s mains is 14,1-01,” said Mr R. .Sprague, the board’s manager, in his report to the September meeting of the board. “ Thames and Te Arpha boroughs are included in this total and number 1343 and 883 respectively. “ Fifty-five lighting and heating consumers were connected during the month, also 22 ranges,’ 48 waterheaters, four industrial motors and 53 motors on farms, of which 24 are milking motors. There are now connected and operating 4291 ranges, 7492 water-heaters, 1281 industrial motors, and 8060 1 motors on farms of which 3704 are milking motors. “ Thirty consumers had additional lighting and heating connections. “ The connection of future loading depends upon the control that the board can operate as tied in with the maximum demand and units allocated by the State Hydro Department. With the control now functioning it is anticipated that supply can be given where there is no contravention to the regulations.”
