KITCHEN EVENING

FUNCTION AT KEREPEEHI LARGE ATTENDANCE There was a large attendance at a kitchen evening held in the Kerepeehi Hall in honour of Miss F. Poland and 'Mr Johnson, whose marriage will take place shortly. Music was supplied by the Rhythm Rambler® and Miss N. Hayes and Mr W. McGowan supplied Mr W. Bailey acted as M.C. The cards were won by Mrs C. Nicholson and Mr C. Poland. The first Monte 'Carlo was won by Miss N. Hayes and Mr R. Stone; the second by Miss I. Jordan and Miss M. Godkin. In asking Flora and Doug, to come forward and open the parcels, Mr Bailey wished them a very ’happy married life on behalf of the Kerepeehi residents and friends. In reply Doug, thanked Mr Bailey on behalf of himself and Flora for the good wishes and the evening and many nice and useful presents received. Musical honours were accorded.
